I survived those horrible viruses, thank you for all the lovely comments. Sadly the good weather is also gone and it even started snowing again. Today I did some indoor gardening as a substitute for outdoor spring-gardening: sweet peas, hollyhocks and sunflowers. Next gardening-session I will sow more flowers and also herbs for the summer. I’m really longing to eat summer food with fresh self-grown herbs. And to see all these beautiful flowers grow.

Are you growing something this year?

Fish!

I’m bound to my bed for three days now, drinking herbal tea and keeping myself warm to fight some terrible viruses that are attacking me. Hopefully I get better soon so I can enjoy some of the spring weather that’s been visiting us lately. And to update you on everything I’ve been up to. Here is a little bit for now:

Last weekend was my ‘s birthday, so I planned a two-days-road-trip through France. We drove to Le Mont-St-Michel with a stop here and there. These pictures are from our first stop: Nausicaa!

What I learned:
x. cute fish exist — much against my expectations
x. some fish are funny — also against my expectations
x. I watched Finding Nemo far to often as I know most fish by their Nemo-name
x. some fish are really scary — as I expected
x. octopuses are really really scary and nasty!
x. coral is extremely pretty, those colors and shapes! I wish I could keep some at home :^)

x. flowermarket
x. faded daffodils are also pretty
x. the only windowsill in my house

I’m very happy to see the sun come out so often lately! The days are still very cold though and today even some soft soft snow falling. I hope that it will be spring very soon. The idea of it gives me good energy. Right now I’m working on some things of which I will show you one soon :)

I love it!

Little by little I’m going to show you a bit of my house. These are bits of my bedroom.

x. Plants: soleirolia soleirolii aka peace-in-the-room, fittonia and avocado
x. Charlie the curious cat
x. My bed, I love white sheets
x. One of my Ficus Elastica (here is my other one), who has been burnt by the sun a little last summer. Oops :^)

I’ve been a lazy blogger lately, I hope you don’t mind. Winter got it’s grip on me so I’m busy enjoying these little sparkles of sunlight whenever I can. Because of this, I’ve also been a lazy letter-writer so please be patient if you’re waiting for a reply from me. I will show you pictures of my received letters and cards soon. And I’m knitting my first cable-scarf of which I also hope to show you pictures soon.

In the meantime I’m reading all your lovely blogs & comments and I like it!
Enjoy the rest of the week and hopefully you get some sunshine too :)
