Little bits of this and that…
x. Baked a delicious honey-almond cake (Any of you into baking? I could give you the recipe, it’s so easy to make and so sweet to eat!)
x. Sewed a little pillowcase with some dishcloths I bought a while ago. First I wanted to make some pouches out of them, but I have too many pouches allready and my pillow needed a new jacket, so there you are. It turned out very well I think. The idea is not mine, I saw pillows like these a few years ago in a pretty little – and sadly quite expensive – shop and I decided to try to make some myself. Ever since I made several pillows with dishcloths, and it looks very nice even though it’s ‘just’ dishcloths.
x. I also wanted to show you the presents we got from my ♥‘s parents this weekend.
x. I re-organised my seed-collection a few days ago, put them in little enveloppes and gave them shelter in my pretty pot. I saw Hermine did so too.
Did you see google today? They made this logo for the 226th birthday of John James Audubon, the maker of the book ‘birds of America’. I’m crazy about it, I want to print it out and stick it to my wall.

Thank you for all your nice comments, I totally recovered from my sunstroke and I had a very nice weekend. We visited family for easter and were outside almost all the time. Our garden looks so pretty. I love it that the weather is so good and that there are flowers everywhere. I wanted to bring some Lilacs with me from home, but I was scared that they wouldn’t survive the travel. But I got some from a friend today, so that makes me very happy. Beautiful flowers, good weather and frozen berries with icecream, what more do you need…

The weather has been exceptionally good the last week. Belgium has the warmest weather in Europe at the moment, unbelievable! It feels like summer although it’s only spring. Yesterday was my first day off since a week, and so the first day I could enjoy it. We went to the park with some friends and ate delicious strawberries. We had fun, but then I had to go home because I felt very, very bad all of a sudden: a sunstroke. I had to sleep for a few hours and then it was a little bit better. In the evening a big thunderstorm arrived over the city. I really like the smell of the city after a rain shower. It’s almost as if the rain washes the earth and everything smells clean afterwards. Today the sun is back, I’ll be more carefull when going out.
